KC College Screams For 'The Rise'

Kiran is one of the most awaited college fest of Mumbai. The students of Kishinchand Chellaram College at Churchgate are all set to redefine the meaning of the words-revolt, rebel and rise, redefining the term 'Revolutionaries'.  This year, Kiran 2012, launches itself on 31st August with the theme  'The Rise'. The events schedule is given below:

Short Film Event. ''Rise; Yesterday and Today"
The event is totally based on the contingent the college gets. Every contingent bears the Freedom fighter/ political leader/ Revolutionary. So according to that person, the contingent has to derive one outstanding quality the person had, and show how is that quality relevant in today's world. For example if a contingent gets their name as Mahatma Gandhi, then they have to make a 3-5 min short film depicting how is Gandhiji's non-violence quality work in today's time?
1st Sept. 11.20-1.30 pm

Ad Film Event. The Good, the Ad and the Ugly:
In this event every contingent has to use their revolutionary to endorse a product or service which is somehow related to the person.
31st Aug, 12-1.15 pm

War of the DJ's:
Participants have to don the hat of a DJ.The catch here is, NO Bollywood songs allowed. So the true music skills will be tested and the final round is a face off!
1st Sept, 3.30-5.30 pm

Photography event. Stalk the Mascot
Every contingent has to have a mascot! So, on the two days of the festival, we will see the likes of Mahatma Gandhi, Steve Jobs, Lady Gaga and all roaming around the campus. This event requires participants to click off guard pictures of the mascot of another contingent!

Indian Performing Arts Fashion Show:
We believe fashion show events are stereotyped to be Western fashion. We give a platform to depict the beautiful and diverse fashion of the different tribes, festivals, cultures and sub cultures of India. The catch here is a mysterious girl named Kama who could be anyone. The contingents have to create this character Kama and depict the fashion of the given tribe/festival/culture through her eyes!
31st Aug, 2-6 pm, KC Auditorium.

Round Table Conference. "In the Heat of the Moment"
It is a call out to all participants to be a revolutionary and come forward with their strong opinions and ideas about the problems presented before them. The catch here is, every participant has to be in the character of their particular revolutionary and give us solutions that their revolutionary would have suggested.
1st Sept, 9-10 am, KC Auditorium.
