Why should you go in for the Samsung Galaxy SIII
1. Smart Stay: If you don't look at me, I will turn off!! The phone tracks you with its proximity sensor, so as long as you’re looking at it, the display won’t dim.
2. Smart Alert: The Samsung Galaxy SIII is really smart! Its enhanced notifications centre lets you know what’s happened since you last checked your phone in order of importance.
3. Dropbox storage: With cloud storage becoming popular, with the SIII you get a 50GB of free Dropbox storage for two years. But it is not available with AT&T and Verizon in the USA.
4. S-Voice: Samsung's tried something like Siri. This feature allows you to control your phone through voice, example to turn up the volume, and to ask it question. But it did not listen to us. Hence, just like Siri even S-voice does not accept Indian accent
5. Chat On: Its a messenger service offered by Samsung. It is the BBM of Samsung, unlike BBM on Blackberry is charged by the telecom operator Chat On is absolutely free. It is available only on latest Samsung smartphones.
6. Video Multi-tasking: You video would be playing on the screen till you do some other work. This is a awesome feature. Separates it from the others
7. USB on the go: You can plug in your pen-drive directly into the SIII. Just like in the Nokia N8. The connecting dongles would cost you Rs.660.
Why should you not go in for the Samsung Galaxy SIII
1.Price: As compared to the HTC One X, though it is Rs.3,000 cheaper but lacks in the above features. It is better if you strain your finances a little more and go in for the SIII. The Samsung Galaxy SIII would cost you INR 43,000 but in some stores it is available at Rs.38,999. EMI options are available in some stores and with a few banks. Even though it would not fit in one due to its size, it will surely create a dent in your pockets because of its price, but it is surely worth it.
2.Music volume: The volume on the Samsung Galaxy SIII is not loud enough. The volume of the Samsung Galaxy SIII does not suit its price.
Nice post! but then why have you given it 8/10?? It seems to be a 10/10 cell phone???
ReplyDeleteThe SIII has got an 8/10 because..
Delete1.Price
2. Music quality
3. It has a Chinese-type look
4. It got quite warm when we were holding it.
Nice. But my Samsung Galaxy S1 always gives me a problem connecting with my desktop. How does the Galaxy SIII fare? I am also wondering how it will compare with the new HTC, the iPhone and the forthcoming new Nokia phone (which is promising a 43 mega pixel camera!!!)
ReplyDeleteFor your Galaxy s1. Try installing the Samsung kies again.
ReplyDeleteAs compared to the HTC One X ,even though you will have to shell out Rs3k extra it would be better to go in for the S3! You will get a lot more features
It has already taken over the iPhone with its screen size,Chat-on, video multi-tasking and USB on the go.
Nokia has already lost its market. Nokia will have to add some more features to get back in the race. FYI, 43MP is 5MP in reality, it uses the "7-in-1" technology to enhance the pixels.
Hey, do you predict that its price will go down anytime in future? And also, is it durable and suited for a rough user like me?
ReplyDeleteAs it has always happened; the prices will go down. it is durable as the screen is Gorilla Glass; it will not crack easily!
DeleteThe phone seems to be a classy one. And yeah regarding the price, you are absolutely right. It is a bit too over-priced. If it wud have been less i wudnt think much to buy this one. :)
